DENIS G. FAUTEUX
Dr Fauteux is a leading battery industry expert, with a 30+ year track record working on the design, development, production and application of lithium-ion batteries.
Having received his PhD in Energy (Electrochemistry) from the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique, Québec, Canada in 1986, Denis has worked in research and leadership roles, across a range of companies in the USA, Japan, China and Hong Kong.
Career highlights include eight years as President and Chief Executive Officer of Hirion Electrochemical Inc., a Mitsubishi-owned organization responsible for the development and transfer of lithium-ion battery technologies.
Denis now works as CTO – Advanced Energy Solutions for Techtronic Industries Limited, based here in Hong Kong.
With global sales in excess of US$5B, TTI is a world leader in the power tool, home care, and outdoor product markets; owning brands such as Milwaukee, Ryobi, AEG, Homelite, Hoover, and VAX. With more than 60% of its revenues generated from cordless products, TTI’s key strategy has been to lead the industry by implementing advanced lithium ion technologies.
ANTHONY TSE
Mr Tse has over 20 years of corporate private and public company experience in numerous high-growth industries including the TMT sectors and resource & commodities – primarily in senior management, corporate finance and M&A roles across Greater China and Asia Pacific region. His previous roles include senior positions at News Corporation's STAR TV, the Deputy General Manager of TOM Online, Director of Corporate Development at Hutchison Whampoa's TOM Group, President of CETV, and CEO of CSN Corp.
He was appointed Managing Director and CEO of Galaxy Resources in June of 2013 and was responsible for leading the corporate turnaround, which has across three years, involved over A$500M of debt restructuring, refinancing and divestments. This was followed with the restart of production at its Mt Cattlin Lithium Project in Australia, and the Company is also now pushing ahead on its initiatives to advance development of its flagship Sal de Vida Lithium Brine Project in Argentina, as well as its James Bay Lithium Pegmatite Project in Canada – all of which have well positioned Galaxy to become the leading pure play lithium company globally.
